Dermal Fillers

As we age, we start to lose bone mass, tissue, fat, elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid from our faces resulting in skin sagging, dehydration and loss of volume. One of the most common and key areas that are affected are the cheeks and lower face. As the skin begins to sag, the face can change shape and jowls can appear. The lines from the nose to the mouth look deeper-set and create an overall heavy appearance.

We aim to soften the signs of ageing and restore the appearance of plump, hydrated, healthy looking skin with the help of dermal fillers. This non-surgical treatment makes use of a sugar-based, non-permanent transparent gel which is injected for facial rejuvenation and revitalising the skin. Dermal fillers are used to fill superficial skin depressions and fine lines, restore volume in facial hollows and artistically facial contour, thereby creating an overall improvement of skin quality.

Whilst the ageing process is an inevitable part of life, dermal fillers can give you the confidence to hold your head up high, with minimal downtime and natural, subtle-looking results.

    Frequently asked questions

You will have a consultation with your practitioner during which you will discuss if this treatment is suitable for your end goal. During the consultation, you can express your treatment needs and explore all your treatment options to ensure you get the best outcome.

Following this session, you will be designed a bespoke treatment.

Facial dermal fillers have had a significant rise in their application for aesthetics and have been thoroughly tested to ensure its safe use. Risks of treatments will be discussed at your consultation.

Your practitioner or nurse will initially apply a numbing cream to the area. This is left on the skin for up to 45 minutes to reduce discomfort during the treatment. The appropriate filler type will be chosen and delivered to the area of skin and/or lips to be treated in tiny amounts with a fine needle. The pre-discussed quantity of filler required may change during the procedure.

These will be discussed in depth during your initial consultation and most commonly consist of redness, swelling, bruising and minimal bleeding. Very rarely, lumps can occur as well as tissue damage. Our practitioners are highly trained to avoid such risks but if they were to occur, they are trained to deal with them.

After your dermal filler treatment, we recommend the following.

    – Do not apply make up for 12 hours
    – Do not use any sauna or steam rooms
    – Avoid any strenuous exercise
    – Avoid sun exposure
    – If you have had lip augmentation – do not drink anything too hot or cold.

We offer a complimentary review appointment 2 weeks after treatment, where additional filler can be administered, if required, at a discounted price. The procedure can be repeated according to personal choice with the aid of the practitioner.

Results and duration of the effects of the treatment vary amongst individuals. The effects are non-permanent. They usually last between 6 months and 1 year but can be less or more depending on the area treated.

Your practitioner will discuss the effects in more depth at your initial consultation.
